Fashion trend to love

Here's one thing tying in with the nautical trends this season- rope detailing! It's not just in accessories such as bracelets and belts; I just picked up an H&M dress with rope detailing. I've also seen a lot of rope necklaces. Try adding this cute skirtbraceletsandals or headband to your spring arsenal.[Nicky Hilton;Louis Vuitton;Strenesse;Madison Harding.]

Beauty Review

For anyone with acne or redness or scarring, you might turn to liquid foundation as I do. And when you find that after applying, your makeup looks like it could slide right off, you might dust some powder over to set your foundation. Using drugstore foundation, however, I always got an orangey look. Frusterated, I turned to some beauty experts for help.
I left with Clinique Superbalanced makeup, $21.00. It may be more than twice the cost of drugstore foundation, but it was well worth it. This foundation provides good coverage and works well with powder to create a natural look. No more oompa loompa look!

Money-saving shampoo tip!

Recently while reading a magazine, an article listed a number of ways to cut back the time you spend in the shower. I have found one of these tips to be extremely helpful; when shampooing, only lather up your roots. When you rinse your hair, the suds running down your hair will wash the rest of it. This has proven to work very well, plus it saves you shower time and shampoo money!

Fashion trend to avoid

Current fashion trend to avoid: Doc Martens. They come in all kinds of heights, colors, and patterns, but none distract from the fact that these boots were constructed for someone living in the mountains. Unless your job involves hiking daily, I'd avoid them.[credit:drmartens.com]

Fashion trend to love

Current trend to love: Dots! So retro, and so cute. Dots can be big or small, bold or simple. Easily pulled off as long as they are not overdone.[Marni Spring 2010 Runway Collection;Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 Runway Collection;Zoe Saldana;Rihanna]
